The Salinas Valley is known as the “salad bowl of the United States” and all too often the work done by the farm workers is not recognized especially during this Covid-19 infestation. Their multi-family living conditions and need to work has put them at risk with the virus and being victims.
Recently, Joe Lopez President and members of the NLPOA Santa Clara County Founding Chapter partnered with the United Farm Workers and donated 550 pounds of beans and with Dorothy’s Kitchen to distribute 500 pounds of beans and 50 pounds of sugar. Hopefully these donations will help the families through March.
